Ram Pothineni considers Andhra King Taluka his most prestigious project, and he has been showing the same enthusiasm and energy in promotions as well. Today, the team addressed the media in the absence of Ram and Bhagyashri Borse, who are currently on a promotional tour in the USA.
Producer Mythri Ravi shared that the strong word of mouth has been highly encouraging, revealing the second show collected more than what the first three shows together made in Nizam area. “Everyone is saying the movie will have a long run. It will perform strongly for at least three weeks. We got exactly the result we expected. Once Ram returns from the USA, we’ll plan further promotional activities. This is a fan–star backdrop film, but it appeals to everyone. There’s no major risk involved in the theatrical business, as it hardly needs less than double-digit figures.”
Director Mahesh Babu expressed his happiness over the positive feedback the movie has been receiving. He described the film as his love letter to cinema. “Ram connects deeply with his fans. He has done this film for them. He didn’t even have lunch during the shooting of the interval sequence. He said he was in that emotional space and wouldn’t eat until it was done. He patiently waited, even though it took a long time to complete.”
Upendra revealed that he initially felt nervous when he was referred to as the Andhra King in the movie. “When I first heard the story, I was emotionally moved. When they called me Andhra King, I felt nervous, but the experience here truly made me feel like one. Working with Mythri Movie Makers has been a great opportunity. In Kannada, I often write autographs as Abhimanigala Abhimani (A fan of fans).”
