Tamil star Dhanush’s last film, Idli Kadai, is a average movie at the box office in Tamil Nadu. The actor has been struggling to keep up with the momentum of success, and he’s seen more flops in recent times. Now, his latest film, Tere Ishk Mein, also received a mixed verdict at the box office. It is the second film in a row being made in another language, featuring Dhanush, but rejected by the Tamil audiences.
In 3 days, the film Tere Ishk Mein minted more than 50 Cr rupees in Hindi. But, it collected around 3 Cr rupees alone in Tamil which itself says that the film is a disaster. It could also be because of the less promotions from Dhanush in Tamil for this film.
Earlier, Dhanush teamed up with director Sekhar Kammula for the film Kubera. The film has become a big hit in Telugu but did not do as per the expectations in Tamil. The trade is surprised with this diversified response from the audiences in two languages. Now, Tere Ishk Mein is also proving the same.
It all boils down to a viral opinion on social media that the fans of Dhanush and Tamil audiences are not very receptive and not ready to accept the movies from other languages. Usually, this is an opinion that do not live longer and more films will prove it wrong. But in the case of Dhanush, it is happening for the second time now.
