Senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a whirlwind promotional campaign for his upcoming film Akhanda 2, which is going to have a wide release beyond Telugu states on December 5th. After taking part in promotions in Vizag, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chikkaballapur, the movie team landed in Chennai today evening.
Talking to Tamil media, Balakrishna called Madras his Janmabhoomi, Telangana as his Karmabhoomi and Andhra Pradesh as Atmabhoomi. He spoke in Tamil and recalled his association with Madras ( now Chennai) during the early days of life. He also recollected fond memories with legendary Kollywood actors. Balayya revealed that it is a proud feeling to complete 50 years as an actor and said he will continue his career as a lead hero.
Balakrishna exuded confidence on Akhanda 2 and said the film will continue his success streak after Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari and Daaku Maharaj. He also stated that he stopped doing routine films and always striving to deliver novel content for audience. Along with Balakrishna, director Boyapati Srinu also participated in the promotional campaign. He shared that the film was shot amid crores of devotees during the historic Mahakumbh Mela.
Akhanda 2 is carrying solid expectations because the first part emerged as a blockbuster during the COVID pandemic. The genre and the theme has a strong potential to resonate with audience all over the country. The film will have a big release in North India this time.
