Filmmaker SS Rajamouli often quotes Hollywood director James Cameron as one of his inspirations. Already, with RRR, Rajamouli gained global stardom and also had a brief one-on-one interaction with James Cameron. The Avatar filmmaker also heaped praises on Rajamouli after watching RRR.
According to the latest grapevine, we may witness a collaboration between Rajamouli and Cameron in the next few days. As per recent media reports, the first look teaser of Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi will be attached to Cameron’s next release, Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is set to hit the screens on December 19.
Varanasi is being made as a global film, and attaching its first look teaser with a highly anticipated film like Avatar 3 would further raise the hype around it. The rumours also stated that teasers of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”, Russo Brothers’ “Avengers: Doomsday”, and Steven Spielberg’s upcoming UFO film will be attached to Avatar 3.
If Varanasi’s teaser is attached to Avatar 3 along with other major projects, it will not only be a proud moment for Indian cinema but also showcase how far Rajamouli has taken it.
Starring Superstar Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, Varanasi is slated for worldwide release in 2027. KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya are jointly bankrolling the project, while MM Keeravani is composing the music for it.
