A Story That Deserves To Be Told

The biopic on former CPI MLA Gummadi Narsaiah began with a grand muhurtham ceremony in Palvancha. Directed by Parameshwar Hivrale, the film presents the life of a leader known for his simplicity, honesty, and dedication to public service. Gummadi Narsaiah became widely respected in Illandu for standing by the poor and for choosing to ride a bicycle to the Assembly as a symbol of his values. Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar plays the lead role in this biopic, which is produced by N. Suresh Reddy under the Pravallika Arts Creations banner.

The opening ceremony was attended by cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Kavitha, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s wife Nandini Mallu, and many other dignitaries. Geetha Shivarajkumar gave the first clap, and Minister Komatireddy switched on the camera for the muhurtham shot. Nandini Mallu handed over the script to the team.

Speaking at the event, director Parameshwar said politics should not be treated as a profession but as a responsibility to serve people who trust their leaders. He said Gummadi Narsaiah lived by that principle, serving for twenty years without earning anything for himself. He added that such a life must be shown on the big screen and thanked Shiva Rajkumar and producer N. Suresh Reddy for supporting the project.

Producer Suresh Reddy said Shiva Rajkumar is the perfect choice for the role and praised his genuine nature. He said the team began shooting in Palvancha because the place reflects the spirit of activism that shaped Gummadi Narsaiah’s life. He hoped the film would inspire change in politics.

Shiva Rajkumar said he is proud to portray such a noble leader. He shared that his father also lived a life of service and that he felt a deep emotional connection when he visited Narsaiah’s home. He said he is learning Telugu to dub for himself and hoped the film would motivate future leaders.

Gummadi Narsaiah said he is an ordinary man who believes change must begin within each person. He hoped the film would spread that message and bring positive change to society.
