Another Big North Vs South ‘Aug 14’ Clash On Cards?

Independence Day clashes at the box office are always pretty interesting. We have seen Coolie and War 2 clashing this year. Now, the lineup seems to be clear for the next Independence Day as well. As per the reports in Bollywood, Durandhar 2 is aiming for a release on 14th August instead of a release in March.

With the project Durandhar gaining a positive response from everyone, the makers decided to take the feedback and also invest more time in making the second part better. The film is currently running successfully in theatres. So, the team wants to put more focus on the second part and make the film better.

Moreover, after the film releases on OTT, it will trigger much more positive responses, adding more buzz and anticipation for the second part. Hence, the makers want to think about giving some space before they actually bring the second part to the public.

On the other side, Kollywood reports suggest that Rajinikanth wants to opt for Independence day once again in the coming year. If the reports are true, Nelson’s Jailer 2 is scheduled to have a release on August 14th, 2026.

If it happens, it will be another big clash between South vs North, but this time, in a much more engaging manner. Coolie had an upper hand over War 2 this year and we have to see if Rajini continues his domination next year too.
