After Crossing ₹1,000 Crore, Dhurandhar Eyes Another Milestone

This year’s highest grossing film Dhurandhar, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is showing no signs of fatigue at the box office even after three weeks of its release and continues to shatter more records with each passing day. 

After surpassing the lifetime collections of films like Chhaava and Kantara Chapter 1 in three weeks before taking the number one spot among this year’s biggest grossers, the Aditya Dhar directional started the fourth weekend on an strong note. The film raked in an impressive 23 Crores on its fourth Friday and stormed into the coveted 1000 Crores club in just 22 days. 

Dhurandhar has already entered the list of all time top ten highest grossing Indian films worldwide. The film achieved this feat despite facing ban in Gulf countries where Bollywood movies have a sizeable market. Moreover, Dhurandhar didn’t have dubbed release in other Indian languages. 

Taking into consideration the lifetime collections of only Hindi movies, Dhurandhar now stands a chance to emulate other biggest hits like Jawan and Pathaan which collected around 1100 Crores gross in their full run and take the all time top second spot in Bollywood behind Dangal. 

Aamir Khan’s Dangal stands at the top among the highest grossing Bollywood films with a worldwide gross of around 2000 Crores. Dangal benefitted largely due to its unprecedented box office performance in Chinese territory. 

Going by the current trend Dhurandhar might end up around 1200 Crores gross in its full run and take the next spot after Dangal among Bollywood films because of the weekend and the upcoming New year eve.
