No Telugu trailer for Parasakthi, Why?

Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan’s next film, Parasakthi, is slated for release during the upcoming Pongal festival. The makers have finally released the trailer on Sunday evening. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the period drama promises to be an action-packed gritty tale revolving around Hindi imposition with a blend of political history.

Interestingly, the Telugu trailer of Parasakthi has not been unveiled along with the Tamil version. This has come as a surprise because the film stars happening Tollywood beauty Sree Leela as the female lead and also due to the fact that Sivakarthikeyan has decent market in Telugu states.

Earlier, there were reports that Parasakthi will simultaneously release in Telugu as well even though there are multiple big-ticket films up for release during the Sankranti season. Moreover, the team unveiled promotional content in Telugu also to create buzz among audiences here. But, they went into silent mode in the last few days which created doubts over dubbed release.

It appears like the jam-packed festival releases in Tollywood might have made the team to rethink their strategy because it would be very difficult for Parasakthi to find sufficient number of screens in Andhra and Telangana as most of them will be allotted to direct films. Also whatever left will be occupied by Vijay’s Jana Nayakudu.

There are chances for Parasakthi to have a delayed release in Telugu states after Sankranti festival ends. But, it will have a huge competition in Tamil Nadu from Jana Nayagan because the H. Vinoth directional is carrying tremendous hype and also because it marks Vijay’s final on-screen appearance.
