The Sankranthi season is round the corner and the Telugu movie lovers are geared up for unlimited entertainment. Interestingly, The Raja Saab and Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu are performing extremely well at the box office in North America. Now, Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju is also doing well in advance sales.
Naveen Polishetty earlier scored hits with the films like Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya, Jaati Ratnalu and Miss Shetty, Mr Polishetty. Naveen enjoys a decent market in the USA and with the upcoming release falling under the fun and entertainment genre, the expectations are high that it would work.
At the moment, Anaganaga Oka Raju scored $100,000+ in 203 Locations for 387 Shows with the sale of 6805 Tickets. The trend looks strong so far and will easily be Naveen’s highest premiere by a margin. With four days to go for premieres, we can expect a solid opening in the Overseas.
On the other hand, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu is also registered a premiere advance of $600K+. There is an excellent jump in the collections, resulting in an assurance of $1M premieres. With only two days to go for premieres, the film also has potential to deliver a blockbuster to Chiranjeevi.
The developments gives us a feel that the NRIs are in the Sankranthi festival holiday mood and all it requires now is a positive word of mouth which will bring NRI families to theatres.
If the euphoria continues, it can also be spread to other Sankranthi releases.
