Bollywood witnessed one of its historical blockbusters in the form of Dhurandhar, which set the box office and absolute fire after its release in December last year. Now this Ranveer Singh film is streaming on Netflix, and it is generating equally good word of mouth.
Though there are complaints about the streaming quality and the lack of uncut and uncensored version on Netflix, the film is still able to impress the audience with its cinematic brilliance.
In this context, there is an interesting discussion happening on social media, and this is regarding the villain character in the film, which is played by Akshaye Khanna. His immaculate performance in the character of Rahman Dakait was received very well by the audience.
In fact, this Rahman character received more appreciation and public interest than the main man in the film Ranveer Singh. Such was the performance put by the veteran Akshaye in the film and the subsequent impact he had on the film.
But the problem here is that this Rahman character has been ended in the first part itself. The second part which is coming up in March will have a different antagonist and a completely diverted conflict point. So we will not be getting to witness the brilliance of Akshaye in the sequel except his flashback portions.
People are commenting that it would have been better if this character was extended for the sequel as it would have added to the overall prospect of the second part.
It is interesting to see people hoping and wanting to see more of the villain character than the main protagonist in the film and this is largely thanks to the way in which Akshaye portrayed the same.
