Aavesham 2 Confirmed, but What Happened to the Telugu Remake?

The blockbuster Malayalam film Aavesham created a huge buzz across South India with its quirky storytelling and Fahadh Faasil’s electrifying performance. While the film enjoyed massive success in Kerala, Telugu audiences were left disappointed as Aavesham was never remade in Telugu.

Soon after the film’s success, strong reports emerged that a Telugu remake was on the cards. Industry buzz at the time suggested that big stars like Nandamuri Balakrishna or Ravi Teja were being considered to play the lead role in the Telugu version. These reports excited Telugu fans, who felt the film’s loud, energetic tone would perfectly suit a mass hero. 

However, despite the widespread speculation, the remake never materialized, and there has been no official update on why the project was quietly shelved. Now, with Fahadh Faasil officially confirming Aavesham 2, the curiosity around the Telugu remake has resurfaced once again.
