New Fear Unlocked For Dhurandhar Telugu Fans

Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster spy thriller Dhurandhar did not get a Telugu dubbing release due to unknown reasons. Yet the Hindi version received a thumping theatrical response in both Telugu states. Moviegoers and trade circles felt that the makers missed a golden opportunity by not opting for a dubbed version despite the fact that Hindi stars have a decent market here. 

Now, the much hyped sequel is set for a huge release in multiple languages including Telugu due to the massive buzz among South audiences. However, a new fear has started gripping Telugu audience ahead of the sequel’s release. 

Recently, the Telugu version of the highly popular soundtrack ‘Ishq Jalakar – Karvaan’ song was released all of a sudden by the music label on YouTube. However, it turned out be a big blunder as the dubbed version was rejected instantly upon first hearing by Telugu fans. 

In no time, there has been huge criticism aimed at the makers for spoiling the essence of the lyrics and mood of the song with substandard translation. Several netizens expressed disappointment and shock with the lyrics and the vocals used for the Telugu song. They alerted the production house not to repeat the same mistake with the sequel which will have simultaneous release in Telugu on March 19th. 

Though the first part was dubbed in Telugu on Netflix, the Hindi songs were kept intact as viewers already fell in love with the orginal ones because of the invigorating lines and energetic vocals. This strategy paid off very well as audiences loved the dubbed version with Hindi songs and did not complain at all. 

Audiences are suggesting the director and his team to rope in renowned lyric writers and singers in Telugu at least for the sequel so that there won’t be this sort of embarrassment again.
