Sankranthi Date Without Story & Director?

Earlier this month, there was an announcement that the Soggade Chinni Nayana Franchise will continue and the next movie in that series will arrive on January 15th, 2027 as Sankranthi Special.

But then, there are no further details in the announcement. However, sources say that there is no story or director for the project so far.

Apparently, Nagarjuna wants to do a Rural backdrop colourful story with festival vibes like how it is in Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju. That is the only idea they have. Kalyan Krishna who directed Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju is writing a story.

Nagarjuna reportedly asked Chandoo Mondeti also to write a story. Chandoo is a big fan of Nagarjuna and directed Savyasachi and Thandel with Naga Chaitanya,

Thandel happened to be Naga Chaitanya’s career-best hit so far and so, Nagarjuna imposed confidence in him.

Chandoo was to direct Vayuputra, a 3D animation devotional epic based on the life and glory of Lord Hanuman.

The Project supposed to be produced by Sithara Naga Vamsi was announced in a hurry after the success of Mahavatar Narasimha and there are rumors that it ran into some problems. So, Chandoo is free right now.

So, the urge to block Sankranthi Date is so high in the industry right now that the dates are announced even without story or even a director.
