Biggest Blockbuster But Wantedly Avoided Awards Event?

The biggest blockbuster in Indian cinema in 2025, Dhurandhar which is also one of the highest grossing films in the history of Indian cinema has emerged as one of the fan favourite films in recent years. 

However, something unexpected has happened with regard to this film now and it involves an awards function event which has grabbed the attention. 

Incidentally, Hollywood Reporter, a leading media outlet that is highly regarded for their principles of journalism awarded Dhurandhar at their latest awards event. But interestingly enough, no one from the Dhurandhar team attended the event or collected the award. 

Incidentally, Dhurandhar was honoured at Hollywood reporter India for its incredible box office feat, but surprisingly no one from the team was present at the venue to collect the award. There’s a subplot to this as Hollywood Reporter’s Anupama Chopra had mislabeled the film during the time of the release. 

The critic had commented that Dhurandhar is a blatant film that carries an anti Pakistan narrative and this didn’t go well with the unit. They’ve reciprocated now by skipping the awards event associated with Hollywood Reporter and thus, humiliated the media channel in reverse.
