These days, more and more films are becoming increasingly dependent on AI for visual enhancement and imagery generation. This has now reached even elite league films as even superstar driven big budget films are going down this path.
Now, it is the turn of the recently announced Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan project to face these complaints over alleged usage of AI in the teaser that was released a couple of days back.
According to several posts on social media, there are certain shots in the glimpse video that were generated using AI and this has not gone well with the larger section of the social media users.
The screenshots of the AI shots from the video are now being posted on social media and people are fuming on the publicity material designer for the same.
“Using AI is fine, but for a project of this scale and stature, it’s embarrassing that official designers can’t even fix something as basic as the Gemini logo.” A social media user commented.
Another concerned user posted “the biggest project in the history of tamil cinema is using ai… indian cinema needs to get its grip together”.
There are a series of comments coming up against the usage of AI and more concerningly, the lack of basic understanding to edit out the AI platform logo from the final output.
This has led to an increased commotion on social media about how at least top filmmakers must put more effort into creating original content rather than running after AI.
