Corona pandemic is not over yet but life is getting normal. People started adjusting to the new normal and are hopeful that things will get better soon. In this scenario, Tollywood is still worried about the new releases. Although filmmakers began shooting the movies, there are few hiccups in between.
The producers are taking the utmost safety precautions to ensure no one suffers from the virus. However, the producers do not have clarity in running the theatres with full occupancy. But, Hollywood production houses are coming up with path-breaking decisions by releasing the movies in theatres and online simultaneously. Warner Bros Pictures decided to release all their upcoming films simultaneously in theatres and HBO Max on the same day.
Warner Bros Pictures confirmed the same on Twitter, saying, “I got you something nice this year. The biggest movie premieres In theaters and on HBO Max the exact same day. Beginning December 25 with #WonderWoman1984 #HBOMax #WBPictures. Available on HBO Max in the US only at no extra cost to subscribers.”
Warner Bros.’ 2021 slate includes some of the biggest releases. The films include Dune, The Suicide Squad, Tom & Jerry, The Conjuring: The Devil Make Me Do It, King Richard and Judas, and the Black Messiah.
Tenet that released in theatres failed to ring in the desired revenues. In this scenario, Warner Bros Pictures’ decision might bring in big changes in the theatrical business globally.
