Vijay & Sangeetha Divorce: What’s Right? What’s Wrong?

The other day, News has come out that Thalapathy Vijay’s wife Sangeetha has approached a Family Court in Tamil Nadu demanding divorce from her husband alleging an Extra Martial affair since 2021.

This news has become a sensation since Tamil Nadu is going for the Assembly Elections and it will be Vijay’s first election with his TVK Party. People are divided about this act of Vijay’s wife. 

One side opines that it is a conspiracy to decimate Vijay’s chances in the elections and Sangeetha has become a tool in the hands of other Political Parties. 

The other side says she is the victim and she has all rights to pursue the legal options. Those opposing Sangeetha are questioning why she has been silent all these years and is coming up right before the Elections.

The Timing definitely is wrong in Vijay’s point of view. Sangeetha has been pursuing this case from the last couple of years and now it has come out at the Unexpected Time. But the question is if Sangeetha should have hold this until the elections are over.

It is quite common that the supporters of Vijay ask for it. But in Sangeetha’s Point of View, it is a different story. He is someone who broke her heart. He is someone who cheated her. It is quite common that she would be angry with him.

People can say Vijay’s Political Stint is for the greater good of the mankind and Sangeetha should have behaved with a broad mind. But then, not generalizing but most women tend not to care about anything when they are aggrieved.

Indian Society respects the values of one wife and one family. They expect people to be idealistic in their Personal Lives as well. Other Political Parties will look to use this issue against Vijay in the Elections. 

We will have to see how Vijay and his Team will counter this narrative.
