The much awaited Yash starrer Toxic has been postponed to June 4, pushing its release from the earlier planned date of March 19, 2026. There was pressure on the makers to postpone the film due to Dhurandhar 2 and the impact it could create at the box office.
However, the movie team now claims that the uncertainty around the Middle East led to the postponement, which sounds valid considering Yash enjoys strong popularity in the region after the massive success of KGF.
The postponement has sparked fresh speculation in industry circles, especially since strong reports from Tamil media suggest that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is also being shifted to June to coincide with the actor’s birthday month, a move considered strategically ideal.
With both films linked to KVN Productions, the big question now is whether the banner is gearing up for two major releases in the same month. Will Jana Nayagan stick to June, or does the team have alternate plans? An official clarification is still awaited.
However, back-to-back big releases could put significant pressure on KVN. Delays often increase expectations, and managing fan anticipation along with financial commitments from distributors and financiers could become challenging if schedules shift further.
On the other hand, the film featuring Chiranjeevi and directed by K. S. Ravindra(Bobby) has reportedly locked its final script and is awaiting KVN’s green signal to commence shooting. It will be interesting to see how the production house balances multiple high-profile projects in the coming months.
