The makers of Alpha starring Alia Bhatt have officially locked a new release date for the film. The much-awaited project will now hit theatres on July 10, 2026, creating fresh buzz in trade circles. The film is backed by the popular banner Yash Raj Films, which has been carefully planning the release strategy for the big-budget action entertainer.
Interestingly, Alpha was initially expected to release in April 2026, but the makers later decided to push it to July. This change in release plans has now sparked discussions in the industry. Many believe the shift could be connected to the massive buzz surrounding Dhurandhar 2, which is currently dominating the conversation with its trailer and advance bookings.
Trade experts point out that the first part of Dhurandhar enjoyed a very long and successful run in theatres. If the sequel receives similarly strong word of mouth, it could continue its box office wave for nearly 50 days, just like the original film did.
Such a long theatrical run could have directly affected Alpha if both films had released close to each other. By moving the release to July, the makers may have ensured that the film gets a clearer window at the box office. With Alia Bhatt leading the project and the backing of YRF, expectations are already high for Alpha’s big-screen arrival.
