Proved Again: Telugu Audiences Are ‘Cinema Pichollu’

Encouraging own language films is usually a norm in any state. But, showing immense love for other language movies is a tradition followed by Telugu movie fans. We frequently notice how movies from other languages find huge patronage in Telugu states. Sometimes, dubbing movies from other South languages collect revenues on par with our movies.

Time and again, Telugu audiences prove that ‘Cinema’ is the biggest form of entertainment for them. No matter whether it is a straight or a dubbing movie, majority of the people love to throng theatres during weekends to celebrate Cinema. Now, it is time for Bollywood to experience the immense love of Telugu moviegoers.

This year’s highly anticipated sequel Dhurandhar 2 is set for a massive release in Telugu states on March 19. As the first part witnessed a strong run in major cities despite not getting dubbed in Telugu, the makers have now decided to release the sequel in Telugu all over.

Even ten days before its release, the Ranveer Singh starrer is creating a havoc with insane advance sales in Nizam territory (Hyderabad). Majority of the screens in and around the city are seeing phenomenal bookings. Many shows are getting sold out in quick time and more shows are being added to cope up with the demand for the sequel.

Dhurandhar performed exceedingly well despite its limited release in Hindi version. Trade circles felt that the makers missed out on a great opportunity by not opting for a Telugu release. However, the sequel is getting a wide release in Telugu in both Andhra and Telangana due to the strong hype.

Going by the current trend, Dhurandhar 2 is likely to take a sensational opening in Telugu states. As the team came up with an impressive cut for the Telugu trailer, the first weekend collections are going to be mind boggling for sure.

Despite facing heavy competition from Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Dhurandhar is set to open big. If the film manages to secure positive reports, expect huge number of footfalls in Hyderabad alone.

Overall, Dhurandhar 2 is aiming to shatter several opening day records worldwide and surpass the milestones created by the first part.
