Chiru’s Green Signal to Another Sukku Student?

Megastar Chiranjeevi seems to have cracked the success formula in his second innings. Of late, he started working with talented young directors who are able to present him in crowd pleasing roles that suit his age and stardom.

He first teamed up with director Bobby and scored a blockbuster in the form of Waltair Veerayya. Then, he joined hands with Anil Ravipudi and delivered a record breaking hit through Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. He has now lined up films with Bobby and Srikanth Odela. Both these upcoming projects are already carrying massive expectations.

While awaiting the release of much awaited film Vishwambhara with Mallidi Vassishta, Chiranjeevi has reportedly gave the green signal to another inexperienced director who previously worked as an assistant to top league filmmaker Sukumar.

As per the latest reports in industry circles, Chiru evinced interest to work with debutant Srinivas Maya, who narrated an engaging script with a village backdrop. He was reportedly excited with the genre and the set-up and asked to come up with a bound script for full narration.

If the young director manages to impress with his narration in the next story sitting, the project is all but confirmed because Chiru is very eager to do a full length mass entertainer with a rustic backdrop. Since his comeback with Khaidi No 150, Chiru appeared in commercial potboilers, but did not do a complete rural drama.

Close sources revealed that the film will be a complete departure for Chiranjeevi just like how Rangasthalam gave a complete makeover for Ram Charan in terms of story and characterization. So, there are strong chances for the film to materialize once he wraps up his current commitments.

Chiru is currently on a short break after undergoing a minor surgery for his shoulder. He soon get back to the sets and kick start the shooting formalities of Bobby’s film. After this project, he will move on to Srikanth Odela’s film, who is also one of Sukumar’s assistant directors. He may then work with Sukumar’s assistant Srinivas Maya for this interesting film.
