Liger Issues Back, Unofficial Ban On All Puri Films?

With the trend of Re-releases doing very well in the Theaters, there is a huge demand for Old Blockbusters. On that lines, Superstar Mahesh Babu‘s Pokiri Re-release was announced for May release. 

Mahesh Babu‘s films have done very well in their Re-releases and so there is a huge demand for Pokiri Re-release Rights. Puri Jagannadh has the Rights of the film.

Sources say that a US Party bought the Overseas Rights of the movie for a fancy amount. The domestic business had already begun. But then, the release got stopped and Athidi is releasing in that place for the same time.

We have learned that the movie release got halted because of Puri Jagannadh‘s Liger Financial Issues. There were dues to paid to the distributors. During Double iSmart, Puri cleared some amount and promised to clear the rest after the movie release.

But he did not Honor it. All the distributors have decided not to allow the release of any film of Puri Jagannadh without getting those dues cleared. Suniel Narang is heading the aggrieved distributors. He also have pending dues from Liger. 

On that lines, they have blocked the release of Pokiri Re-release too.

The Overseas Buyer who bought the rights was trying to connect with Charmee but she is reportedly avoiding calls. 

If this is the situation, we will have to see what happens when Puri‘s Slumdog (Starring Vijay Sethupathi) releases.
