The big question surrounding Ustaad Bhagat Singh is whether it can enter the coveted ₹100 crore club this weekend. As of now, the film has collected around ₹90 crore gross worldwide, and its pace at the box office has slowed considerably in all its centers of release.
If the film fails to cross the ₹100 crore mark, it could become the only film in Pawan Kalyan’s career in recent times to miss the milestone. Even his underperforming film BRO managed to achieve that feat, making the current situation even more concerning for trade circles.
Adding to the challenge is the strong wave of Dhurandhar, which continues to dominate the box office, especially in the Telugu states. External factors like ongoing fuel and gas crisis reports have also affected footfalls, further denting the film’s chances at the box office.
With the pressure mounting, director Harish Shankar is facing criticism for the film’s underperformance. The way he has narrated the film in a silly manner has disappointed even the fans in a big way. All eyes are now on the weekend numbers to see if Ustaad Bhagat Singh can pull off a late surge.
