Buchi Leaves No Chance for Trolls with Peddi

Aiming for pan-India glory just with his second attempt is no mean task for any director because even top-league filmmakers like Shankar Shanmugam fell well short of the target in pursuit of success. But, Telugu director Buchi Babu Sana, who won national award with his debut film Uppena, seems to be coming up with a perfect plan to hit the bulls eye with Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi.

When expectations are so high among moviegoers, it is common that the teasers and trailers of big-ticket films secure mixed response. However, that is not the case for Peddi, which is undoubtedly one of most eagerly awaited pan-India films of South India this year. The reason behind this is the strong content.

Whatever promotional content that has been unveiled so far has turned out to be a massive success because of the unanimous response from all sections of audiences. That is how well Buchi Babu is crafting the output. Unlike regular commercial potboilers or extravagant VFX-landen scripts, he chose an intriguing rural drama revolving around multiple sports with a gritty backdrop and authentic emotions surrounding the journey of a villager who beats all odds to achieve success.

Buchi Babu seems to have weaved a strong narrative with his watertight writing and extracted the best from Ram Charan for Peddi. Every glimpse and poster struck a chord with fans and critics alike and there is hardly any negative feedback on the content so far. This is a very rare scenario for pan-India films but Buchi has passed every test so far with distinction and augmented the hype to the next level.

The latest glimpse unveiled on Ram Charan’s birthday yesterday received a thumping response due to the stunning visuals. Expect AR Rahman’s minimalist background score, which received a lukewarm reaction, every other aspect of the glimpse attained a positive feedback not just from fans but also from common audiences as well.

Till now, only Ram Charan’s role has been introduced and all other key characters are closely guarded only to keep the anticipation to build further. The film has already been making a lot of positive waves in Telugu states and the buzz in other languages keeps improving with each promotional campaign.

Once the trailer gets revealed, the hype in pan-India market is expected to shoot further. Critics also started praising Buchi Babu’s ambitious canvas and efforts. As a protege of pan-India director Sukumar, he has delivered content beyond expectations so far. But, the real task lies in completing all formalities within the stipulated time and release the film on April 30 without any delay.
