Tollywood is now looking towards the upcoming weekend with strong hope as Biker and Rakasa are gearing up for release. After a dull phase at the box office, these two films are expected to bring fresh energy and pull audiences back to theatres.
Among them, Biker is carrying solid buzz. Sharwa, who recently scored a success, is coming with a more intense and promising film this time. The teaser and trailer have created good interest, and the concept feels new for Telugu cinema. Many believe it has the potential to connect emotionally and emerge as a strong film.
On the other side, Rakasa, starring Sangeeth Shobhan and produced by Niharika Konidela, is also gaining attention with its entertaining promos. The film looks like a mix of fun and thrills, and Sangeeth’s comedy timing is expected to be a big plus.
Tollywood box office showed some life in the third week of March with the arrival of Durandhar 2 and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Both films opened well and pulled crowds over the first weekend. However, the momentum did not last long.
Despite getting decent talk, the Hindi Durandhar 2 started slowing down in its second week, mainly because of limited reach beyond multiplex audiences. The Telugu version has already seen a drop. On the other hand, Ustaad Bhagat Singh could not sustain after its opening weekend due to poor word of mouth.
Trade experts are now betting on Biker and Rakasa to revive the box office. If the content clicks, Tollywood could finally see a strong comeback next weekend.
