‘Mega’ Fans Worried As Clock Ticks Faster

It has already been three months since the release of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s last outing, yet there is no clarity on when his next film hits the screens. While uncertainty continues on what’s actually happening with his long delayed science fiction thriller Vishwambhara, the formal launch of ‘Mega158’ got pushed several times due to unknown reasons.

Vishwambhara was initially supposed to hit the screens for Sankranti last year. However , the team deferred the release to rework on the VFX effects which received mixed response after they unveiled the first glimpse. Even after 15 months, the makers have not yet officially announced the date.

Due to repeated postponements, the buzz on this big-budget film keeps fading away as the team did not release a single update for any of the recent festivals. The project initially garnered significant hype because of the genre and the fact that talented director Mallidi Vassishta is helming it. 

The inordinate delay is slowly killing the hype as UV Creations is maintaining stoic silence.  Sharwanand’s Biker, from the same production house, released last Friday and received good response. It is high time that the makers kick start the promotions of Vishwambhara before it is too late as many other notable films locked their release dates in the next few months. 

Meanwhile, the much anticipated film with Bobby also got delayed as the producer was stuck with Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. This project has been carrying solid hype because Bobby previously delivered a blockbuster with Waltair Veerayya. Mega fans are eagerly waiting for this project to start rolling as Bobby promised to showcase Chiru is yet another mass avatar. 

As the clock is ticking fast, both Vishwambhara and Mega 158 should start making some noise immediately so that fans can heave a sigh of relief.
