Kayal is one of the popular television serials in Tamil. Subashini plays the lead role, and, shocking many, the actress died by suicide. The actress had Sri Lankan origins and was residing in an apartment in Iyyappanthangal when the particular incident occurred. The preliminary investigation revealed to us that Subashini took the extreme decision due to issues in her family.
A detailed investigation into her death is currently underway, and upon receiving the information, the police officials rushed to the spot and sent her body for medical examination. There are reports that Subashini may have been in distress prior to this incident, as she seems to be having differences with her husband.
Reportedly, she had an argument with her husband over a video call, with officers indicating that emotional distress could have been a reason for the tragedy.
As the investigation is underway, Subashini’s photos with her husband Bibin have surfaced on the internet today. Subashini was widely recognised for playing the antagonist in the TV show Kayal. She also acted in films such as Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan (2023) and Web (2023).
