Dhurandhar’s History – Beats Pushpa 2 & Baahubali 2

The Dhurandhar franchise has rewritten box office history, emerging as a true game-changer in Indian cinema. Led by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the two-part saga has now crossed a staggering ₹3000 crore worldwide, becoming the first Indian franchise to achieve this milestone.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the pace at which Dhurandhar 2 has contributed to this total. The sequel alone has already grossed over ₹1700 crore globally and is still going strong at the box office.

Trade analysts now suggest that it has not only caught up with Pushpa 2 but has already edged past it in certain territories, with a strong possibility of overtaking Baahubali 2 in the coming days if the momentum continues.

The success of the franchise highlights a significant shift in the Hindi film industry, proving that Bollywood can deliver pan-India blockbusters on par with the biggest South Indian hits. For years, films like Baahubali and Pushpa dominated the all-time charts, but Dhurandhar has now disrupted that hierarchy.

Interestingly, the film has achieved these numbers despite facing challenges like limited international markets and stiff competition from events like IPL. If it manages to surpass Baahubali 2, it could firmly establish itself as one of the biggest Indian cinematic successes of all time.
