There is growing buzz that Mohanlal is being considered for key roles in two major upcoming Telugu projects featuring Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna.
While his association with Chiranjeevi’s film, directed by Bobby Kolli, had already been making rounds, fresh reports now suggest that he may also join Balakrishna’s film helmed by Vivek Athreya.
If these developments materialize, it would mark an exciting crossover, bringing the Malayalam superstar into two high-profile Telugu films simultaneously. Mohanlal’s presence is expected to add significant weight, given his strong screen presence and pan-Indian appeal.
Interestingly, earlier reports indicate that both these big-ticket films are being planned for a Sankranti 2027 release. If both projects stick to their timelines, it could set up a unique box office scenario, with Mohanlal appearing in two competing films during the same festive window.
Such a situation would not only spark curiosity among fans but also add an extra layer of excitement to the festival season. However, as of now, there is no official confirmation regarding his involvement in either project.
If finalized, this could turn out to be one of the most intriguing casting developments in recent times, making Sankranti 2027 even more exciting for cinema lovers.
However, with the ongoing delays surrounding Chiru – Bobby’s film, there is also uncertainty over whether Lalettan might step away due to prolonged date issues. For now, it all depends on how things unfold in the coming days.
