Malayalam Blockbuster Gets Open Ground In Telugu

Tollywood box office is currently waiting for a big blockbuster this Summer season. The rush of movies have come down and we have been witnessing only small films at the ticket windows.

We had three releases last weekend but they failed to generate a big buzz at the box office. In this scenario, new release Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros will have a potential to perform well.

Films like Papam Prathap, Thimmarajupalli TV and Bad Boy Karthik did not get a unanimous positive response. While Papam prathap and Thimmarajupalli tv tried catching attention, the films weakend on Sunday itself.

So, there is a golden chance for Vaazha II now. Inspite of being a dubbed Malayalam release, the film is carrying a good word of mouth because of its blockbuster status in Malayalam.

Billed to be a coming-of-age comedy drama film directed by Savin SA (in his directorial debut) and written by Vipin Das, the film is the sequel to Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys (2024). The film was released on 2 April 2026 and has emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026 and the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all-time.

Sahu Garapati is one of the producers of the film and he is positive about the film’s result in Telugu. If the film opens to a unanimous positive response like in Malayalam, it can emerge as a big hit here too.
