200Cr Malayalam Hit Misses Golden Chance in Telugu!

Vaazha 2 is one of the superhit films in Malayalam in recent times. The film features mostly newcomers who are not familiar to Telugu audiences. Sahu Garapati is one of the producers, and except for him, we knew none associated with the film.

But there was positive buzz surrounding the movie before its release. However, the team failed to make use of the theatrical situation in the Telugu states to mint more profits.

Vaazha 2 created a sensation at the Malayalam box office as it got 200 cr rupees revenue at the box office, which is huge. Also, the film has become the first film to beat that number this year.

The movie lovers was eagerly waiting for the release, and many expected it to do the same magic here, but it didn’t achieve it to the full extent as it wasn’t reached to common audience. As per the trade experts, the film managed to get a nett of only around 3 cr rupees at the box office in the Telugu language.

The main reason is that the team failed to promote the film in a comprehensive manner. Even though they did some events, strong promotions were missed, and on the other hand, the re-release of Darling took some space.

So, a better promotional strategy from the makers could have improved it, but the team failed in that regard. Earlier, films like Premalu and other Malayalam releases did well in Telugu only because of solid and unique promotions.

Despite one of the producers hailing from the Telugu states, the team could not put a proper promotional show, resulting in the film going unnoticed.
