Kajal Aggarwal and Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade are teaming up for the first time for a hard-hitting drama titled The India Story. Directed by Chettan DK, the film is set to hit cinemas on July 24, as officially announced through an intriguing new poster.
The release-date poster features a pesticide tank placed inside a wooden witness box, symbolizing a toxic truth at the heart of the narrative. Chemical mist drifts across sprawling fields where masked farmers stand guard, while the Bombay High Court looms in the background.
With its apt tagline, Slow Poison in Progress, the film goes beyond the tragedy of a single family. It widens into a chilling commentary on a nation grappling with chemical misuse, unchecked pesticide dependency, and the devastating consequences of industrial negligence.
Written and produced by Sagar B. Shinde, The India Story will be released worldwide through Zee Studios in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. Kajal Aggarwal’s presence is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
