In a latest development, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy issued detailed directions to streamline the financial and legal issues surrounding the long dialyed project Dhurva Natchathiram.
The court ordered the opening of a dedicated bank account in the name of Kondaduvom Entertainment to handle all monetary transactions related to the film.
An advocate has also been appointed as an observer to monitor debits and remittances, ensuring transparency throughout the process. Importantly, the court clarified that no payments should be made to any partners of Kondaduvom Entertainment as remuneration or profit share without prior permission from the court.
This move is aimed at protecting the interests of all stakeholders involved. Directed and co-produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film stars Vikram in the lead, with Ritu Varma playing a key role. Menon now has to secure funds from identified investors to clear pending dues owed to creditors before the release can happen.
The filmmaker is also expected to begin discussions with exhibitors and distributors soon to finalize the release plan. The court further stated that if the film cannot release before June 15 despite genuine efforts, the parties may seek an extension.
