Deva Katta Proves Strong Writing Still Drives Big Cinema

Deva Katta is one of the sensational filmmakers of Telugu cinema. Having made his debut with Vennela, Deva later went on to make films that are unique and do not fit into traditional commercial films.

However, not many knew that his writing skills were extraordinary. Although he did not receive a star status as a writer within himself, his dialogue has a separate fan base. Interestingly, Deva’s writing skill is getting benefited to some big projects now.

If the reports are believed to be true, Deva is on board to write powerful dialogues in the NTR-Neel project, for a crucial sequence. Deva has experience in collaborating with other directors, such as SS Rajamouli, exclusively for dialogues, that too, for particular sequences. Earlier, he penned the ‘Yedi Maranam’ sequence in Baahubali and is now working for Varanasi as well.

On one side, AI is evolving, and many young filmmakers are taking the help of AI to craft screenplays. But, the power of a good writer can never be replaced by AI which is what Deva is proving now.

Telugu cinema witnessed many writers like Paruchuri Brothers, Chinni Krishna, Vijayendra Prasad, Posani, Trivikram, Kona Venkat and others experiencing stardom as writers.

Although Deva has his career as a director flourishing, he is also sharpening his writing skills by being available for the most prestigious projects in the town.
