A potential box office clash is creating buzz as Peddi gears up for its grand release on June 4. The film, starring Ram Charan, is set for a wide pan-India rollout, including a strong push in the Hindi market backed by Jio Studios. With aggressive distribution plans, Peddi is expected to command significant screens across North India.
On the other hand, Bollywood entertainer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, featuring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur, is also eyeing a similar release window. Interestingly, both Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur were earlier considered for a special song in Peddi, but those plans were eventually dropped.
Now, the overlap in release timing has sparked interest in the big clash. Trade analysts believe that if Peddi opens to strong word-of-mouth, it could impact the performance of Varun Dhawan’s film, especially in key Hindi circuits.
Given Ram Charan’s growing popularity and the scale of Peddi, the competition is expected to be intense. With both films targeting mass audiences, the coming weeks will be crucial in terms of promotions and hype building.
The final outcome will largely depend on content, audience reception, and how each film positions itself ahead of release. Dawid Dhawan directs Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Buchi Babu Sana directs Peddi.
