VJ Chitra Commits Suicide

2020 seems to be a nightmare for the entertainment industry. This year a bunch of actors have passed away and adding to the list is Tamil TV actress VJ Chitra. The actress was found hanging from the ceiling fan at a five-star hotel in Nazarethpettai, Chennai.

According to the police, the 29 year old had recently gotten engaged to businessman Hemanth and her fiancé was staying in the same hotel as well. Chitra wrapped up the shooting of her film at EVP film city and had returned to her hotel room at 2:30 AM.

Hemanth claimed that after returning to the hotel, Chitra informed him that she would take a bath. But she did not respond to the door knocks and with the help of hotel staff, a duplicate key was brought and the door was opened. To Hemanth and hotel staff shock, Chitra was found dead.

The manager of the five star hotel called the police around 3:30 AM and informed about this incident. However, there are bruises on Chitra’s body and the police have launched an investigation and they are also awaiting for post-mortem report.

Chitra is known for playing Mullai in the hit Vijay TV serial Pandian Stores and with this she earned a huge fan base and on social media, she was a sensation. Learning about Chitra’s death, fans are in deep shock while her fellow actors have expressed their deep sympathies to the family members.
