National Crush Rashmika’s rise to stardom in North is unmatchable to any other actress of South India in recent times. She has achieved pan-India popularity with big hits and garnered a respectable image because of her down to earth persona besides her on-screen charisma. She hardly courted any big controversies so far with her behaviour.
But, her recent comments during the promotional event of her upcoming film Cocktail 2 raised many an eyebrow and sparked a big debate. In fact, she left fans and the media shocked with a distasteful remark on her co-star.
The incident happened during the song launch event of Cocktail 2 in Mumbai on Sunday. While enthusiastically praising her co-star Kriti Sanon’s stunning appearance, the actress accidentally let an F-bomb slip, triggering a wave of mixed reactions online.
The Pushpa actress immediately realised that she uttered an expletive and couldn’t control her laugh. But, she quickly refrained from going any further and asked her words to be censored. However, the damage has already been done.
“Something in Cocktail 2 was just so different,” Rashmika began. Turning directly to Kriti, she gushed, “You look hot. That the world knows… and you are fuc*ing hot!”
Realizing her slip-of-the-tongue a second too late, Rashmika instantly covered her mouth in shock. She hilariously quipped, “Oh sorry! Silence that!” prompting laughter and loud cheers from the venue’s crowd. Shaking off the blunder, the actress continued to shower love on her co-star, saying, “She’s amazing, like look at her. There’s too much love happening.”
While her crude comment was laughed off on stage, it clearly appeared like Rashmika went overboard which is so uncharacteristic of her usual behaviour.
Given that she has always been maintaining a dignified attitude despite her growing image beyond South Indian cinema due to big hits in Bollywood and also the fact that she recently got married to Vijay Devarakonda, these unnecessary comments doesn’t go well with both media and moviegoers.
