The excitement surrounding Drishyam 3 continues to grow as fans eagerly wait to see whether Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will finally share screen space in the popular thriller franchise.
In a recent interaction, filmmaker Abhishek Pathak addressed the speculation and revealed that such a crossover will not happen in the upcoming installment, although the idea may be explored in the future.
He hinted that discussions are possible, but clarified that nothing has been planned for now. The Drishyam franchise began in Malayalam cinema with Mohanlal playing Georgekutty, a clever family man caught in a tense criminal investigation. The film became a massive success and inspired remakes in several Indian languages, including Hindi, where Ajay Devgn portrayed Vijay Salgaonkar.
Both versions gained strong fan followings for their gripping storytelling and suspense-driven narratives.
Abhishek Pathak also spoke about expanding into Malayalam cinema through Panorama Studios, praising the industry’s experimental storytelling and audience support.
Meanwhile, the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 is scheduled for release on May 21, while the Hindi adaptation is expected later this year.
