The first glimpse of Dragon created strong buzz among fans, but it also sparked mixed reactions for several reasons. The biggest drawback of the trailer was the use of AI-generated shots at the very beginning.
Instead of relying on artificial visuals, the makers could have used classic animation clips or familiar imagery that already connects with the audience. For viewers who immediately recognized the AI usage, the opening moments reduced the excitement rather than building anticipation.
Another major discussion point was the feeling that the glimpse carried shades of Prashanth Neel’s earlier films. While his signature style is popular, some viewers felt the teaser lacked a fresh identity and leaned too heavily on themes already seen in his previous projects.
On the positive side, Tarak’s look impressed fans and generated curiosity about his character. However, many expected at least one trademark “Neel-style” elevation moment that could have delivered a massive high and left a stronger impact.
Ravi Basrur’s background score was effective, though parts of it sounded familiar. Still, since this is only the first promotional content and the movie is more than a year away from release, it will be interesting to see how the team carries the hype forward.
The coming months, including posters, songs, and teaser cuts, will ultimately decide whether audience expectations continue rising steadily further
