What to Watch in Theatres This Friday?

Godari Gattu Paina is the only film surviving at the box office with a decent revenue. During this Summer season, there are not many films in Telugu to entertain the audiences.

However, there are three interesting releases lined up this week. One of them is a dubbed film while the other two are straight Telugu films. We have to see if these films fill the vaccum until Peddi arrives in theatres.

Nandu is coming up with another bold attempt titled Ugly Story. Avika Gor plays the leading lady. The trailer already created a special interest among the audiences, but it will be limited to youth audiences only as the families may not be inclined towards it. However, the film has the potential.

And then, we have Purushaha, which is billed to be a fun-filled youth family entertainer. While the film marks the debut of Pavan Kalyan, the presence of noted faces has increased the visibility of the movie. The trailer already generated a big interest and the comedy can bring crowds to theatres.

On the other side, we have Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3. The dubbed version is gearing up for a release on May 21, unlike a remake this time. There are high expectations for the film, and if the movie clicks at the box office, there is a high chance that the families will turn up in huge numbers at theatres.

Peddi is hitting the screens on June 4th and until then, if these films can bring people to theatres, that will be a big advantage this dry season in boosting the theatrical revenues.
