Ram Charan’s Peddi attracted a wide range of audiences across pan-India when the teaser was out last year. One thing that shook the nation and hooked everyone is Charan’s cricket shot from the movie.
The particular shot gave an identity to the film and generated a huge buzz at the box office. However, the recently released trailer lacked such punching moments.
Although the trailer has Charan’s transformation into playing different sports, it did not give as much of a kick as the teaser and the first song generated.
Many fans are disappointed for this reason, and some audiences have begun to doubt the film’s potential, as reflected in booking trends. The reports say that the buzz weakened after the trailer came out and the bookings slowed down.
The team is, however, confident that things will return to normal once the music event concludes tomorrow. With more promotional events in the offing, the makers are sure about creating the buzz for the movie and keeping the bookings going unstoppable.
But film experts say the movie can regain its lost buzz only with a solid release trailer, which could serve as the helicopter shot of Peddi’s promotional campaign.
Although films lose buzz, they also keep gaining it, and it all depends on the content that gets released to the public. Now, all that is needed is a release trailer along with upcoming special song to stabilize the hype and let us hope that the makers will not disappoint us.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film releasing on June 4th.
