Even before the case against Netflix over kissing scene in temple in ‘A Suitable Boy’ is settled down, Netflix has got another shock. The latest is that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has severely objected to Netflix’s upcoming movie ‘AK vs AK’ starring Anil Kapoor and director Anurag Kashyap. The trailer of this film was unveiled on December 7th and in this, Anil Kapoor is seen in Air Force uniform with adorning badges and IAF insignia.
The trailer has Anil and Anurag playing real life characters but in a talk show they get personal. In order to teach Anil Kapoor a lesson, Anurag kidnaps Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor. However, the visuals had Anil using foul language and this has turned into a controversy.
Objecting this IAF demanded withdrawal of visuals. “The IAF uniform in this video is inaccurately donned & the language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn,” tweeted the official Twitter handle of IAF.
Netflix might certainly take down the video and mute the cuss dialogues when the movie releases. Hope the issue settles at the earliest as it is related to armed forces.
