Ranveer Singh was supposed to work with Farhan Akhtar on the film Don 3 but reportedly, the actor walked out of the film in the last minute. Although it happened long back, the issue is still widely being discussed in the media.
Now, there seems to be a new development in this issue where the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against Actor Ranveer Singh.
According to the latest decision, the members of the said union, including the directors, cameramen, spotboys, and lightmen would not want to work with him. It also means that Ranveer Singh has been banned from working with any of the members of the union.
If it is any other actor, it would have been a big blow for them but passing such a resolution against Ranveer Singh is not going to impact his career.
Ranveer Singh has just delivered a 1000 crore historic blockbuster with the Dhurandhar franchise and this move clearly once again shows the fact how the producers in Bollywood are divided. However, majority of the production houses will not pay any attention to this directive as Ranveer is the most in-demand Bollywood star right now.
In fact, the union must fight out on the issues like exoribant ticket prices, payment issues and the advancement of AI rather than passing such a decision which almost make no sense to anyone is what the onlookers in Bollywood opine.
Ashoke Pandit, Chief advisor of the federation, said they received a complaint from Farhan Akhtar against Ranveer Singh alleging he exited a film project just weeks before shoot. He said the federation issued three notices and reminders over 30 days, but received no response from the actor.
He added that after announcing a press conference, Ranveer Singh replied saying the matter was outside their jurisdiction. Taking note, the federation decided to issue a non cooperation directive against him.
This means no federation member or worker will collaborate on his future projects, and they have urged producers to support their stand and oppose such conduct.
