Divyendu Satia sat down with Gulte Pro’s Ram Venkat Srikar ahead of the release of Peddi on June 4 as part of the film promotions. The actor opened up about his journey, transformation, and the choices that shaped his career.
Speaking about his early days, Divyendu recalled how Liquid from Paanchama became an unexpected breakout role. The character won audiences instantly but also brought the risk of being locked into similar roles in future.
He revealed that after Mirzapur, there were actually no major offers coming his way for a long period. Instead of being flooded with similar opportunities, he found himself in a phase where he had to wait and reassess his path.
Divyendu shared that this gap became an important learning phase. It pushed him to consciously avoid repetition and look for roles that challenged his range rather than repeating familiar character shades.
Talking about Mirzapur and Muna Bhaiya, he said the character gave him recognition beyond expectations but also demanded emotional depth and consistency that changed how audiences perceived him as an actor.
With Peddi, Divyendu said he finally got the chance to experiment again, especially by adapting to a new cultural and linguistic space. He described it as a refreshing shift that helped him reconnect with the joy of performance.
