It appears like Peddi may not get the Permission for Hikes and Premieres in Telangana. The Producer approached the High Court after the Government refused two times but the Court refused to intervene.
The Producer may have to approach the Supreme Court or compromise. A compromise means they have to contend with Regular Prices.
Andhra Pradesh Government already gave the G.O allowing Hikes and Premieres. That means both the states will have different rates.
The Producer may opt for two shows on June 3rd with Regular Prices. Even though there is a dent due to lack of Special Prices, the makers will hope the footfalls will increase with a wide release.
This is the first time an A1 Star hero will be experimenting with Regular Prices. Earlier War 2 and Ustaad Bhagat Singh released with normal prices. But both the films do not have the buzz to gauge the impact. Peddi is the right film.
If the Talk is good, we will see the real potential of Low prices. If the Prices can really translate into higher footfalls, we may see Producers rethinking about these Hikes in the future. So this will be an interesting scenario.
