As anticipation builds for Cocktail 2, slated to hit theatres on June 19, the film’s makers have addressed rumors surrounding the storyline and the characters played by Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
In recent weeks, social media buzz suggested that the two actresses would portray a lesbian couple in the film and that the narrative would include several steamy scenes between them. The speculation gained traction online, prompting discussions among fans eager to know more about the romantic drama.
However, during a press interaction held on Monday, producer Dinesh Vijan firmly denied the reports. Clarifying the film’s plot, he stated that Cocktail 2 does not feature a lesbian love story. Instead, the film revolves around two separate romantic tracks that are contemporary, emotionally charged, and bold in their treatment.
Vijan emphasized that the rumors were baseless and that audiences should wait to experience the story on the big screen. While the film does explore modern relationships and complex emotions, he stressed that the circulating claims do not accurately reflect the narrative.
