Kajal Aggarwal, one of the most celebrated stars in South Indian cinema, has once again expressed her admiration for the industry that played a major role in her successful career.
Speaking about the strengths of South cinema, Kajal said, “When it comes to professionalism, the South is far superior. We’ve got great technicians, we’ve got phenomenal directors and storylines and creativity. Look at South cinema’s reach now. It’s doing far, far better than most Hindi films.”
Her comments come at a time when discussions around the Janhvi Kapoor–Peddi controversy have created tension among sections of the Bollywood ecosystem and Tollywood supporters.
While some voices have been critical of Tollywood over a single issue, Kajal chose a different path. Instead of remaining silent or aligning with the criticism, she openly acknowledged the achievements and strengths of South cinema especially Telugu Cinema.
Kajal’s remarks highlight the factors that have helped South Indian films achieve nationwide and global recognition in recent years. From innovative storytelling and technical excellence to strong performances and visionary filmmaking, South cinema has consistently raised the bar for the Indian film industry.
Many Telugu fans have warmly welcomed Kajal’s words, viewing them as an honest and courageous acknowledgment of Tollywood’s growth and influence. Having earned the status of a former Tollywood queen, Kajal’s appreciation has resonated strongly with audiences.
