B-town Glamour Multi-Starrers No Longer Money Spinners?

Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and others, is one of the super hit films in Hindi. The film performed well at the box office and remains a cult film for many. Now, there is a sequel coming up with a completely different cast this time. Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna Shetty, and Kriti Sanon are a part of this film. While everyone thought that the film will do well, they are only left with disappointment as the early ticket sales are disappointing.

As per the latest reports, the film’s current ticket sales are drastic and below par. Despite the team relentlessly promoting the film, it could not pull crowds to theatres. Even with the presence of such happening stars like Rashmika and Kriti in the film, the movie fails to do the magic with its promotions.

Most importantly, Shahid Kapoor had flops in the recent past and his current poor track record is clearly influencing the ticket sales. Unless there are last minute miracles, this one will struggle to beat the opening day footfalls and numbers of the first part which was released 14 years back.

This is a clear indication that the glamorous multistarrers of Bollywood are also not money spinners anymore, and the audiences are awaiting good content-oriented films. On that note, we still hope Cocktail 2 works and it is releasing on the 19th of this month.
