Chiranjeevi Crowns Charan the New Age Megastar

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently busy shooting for his next film, directed by Bobby. Today, he also graced the success event of Peddi where he could not contain his excitement and heaped praises over his son Ram Charan who excelled in the titular role of Peddi. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi also agreed that Charan is new age Megastar.

Charan was at a conclave last night where the people called him new age Megastar. Chiranjeevi recalled the same and also opined that may be it is time for him to take the back seat while pushing Charan to the front and enjoy the show. Having said that, Chiru also admitted that it will not stop him from acting further.

On the other hand, Chiru also acknowledged the award winning performance of Charan from the film. Most of the audiences called it an award winning performance and some even wrote that Charan deserves a National award for the film. Sukumar predicted that Charan would have gotten that for the film Rangasthalam.

“Inspite of getting an award or not, what is important is to gain the love of audiences which Charan achieved it with this film. I can proudly say that I have achieved 100% Putrotsaham,” said Chiranjeevi.

Chiru’s words clearly reflect both a proud father and a seasoned Megastar who understands the evolution of stardom. By openly acknowledging Ram Charan as the new age Megastar, he has not just endorsed his son’s performance in Peddi but also signaled a generational shift in Telugu cinema’s star legacy.

At the same time, his remark about stepping back without stopping acting shows a balanced perspective, where legacy and longevity coexist. With unanimous praise pouring in for Charan’s performance, this moment feels less like a passing compliment and more like an emotional handover of responsibility, while the Megastar continues to enjoy the show from the front row.
