Naga Vamsi Reveals Truth Behind Naveen Nooli Negativity

National award winning editor Naveen Nooli is one of the most reliable technicians in Tollywood at present. He has worked on some of the high profile films in last few years and bagged appreciation for his crisp and watertight editing skills. But, no success lasts longer in film industry.

In no time, his success graph saw a steady decline as notable films which he associated with have ended as flops. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of negativity on his contribution to some of the recent big-ticket films like Kingdom, Mass Jathara and Peddi.

After the release of Ram Charan’s Peddi, moviegoers and critics doubled down on their attack as some scenes appeared a tad too long and the runtime was excruciatingly lengthy, testing the patience of viewers. Many have pointed fingers at Naveen for the overall output of the film.

But, producer Naga Vamshi now came to the rescue of Naveen. In an exclusive freewheeling interview with Gulte, Vamshi opened about the ongoing negativity on Naveen.

In the interview, Naga Vamsi shared his candid version regarding the public criticism surrounding the editing of the film Funky and defended Naveen Nooli. Addressing the fact that general audiences were pointing out editing flaws and noticeable jump cuts, Vamsi emphasized that the final output on screen does not reflect the complex technical and creative realities that happen behind the scenes in the editing room.

He noted that a highly accomplished editor like Naveen would never intentionally deliver a poorly edited product and opined that structural issues often arise from script issues or other filming constraints rather than errors made by the editor.

He further expressed that it is unfair for audiences to single out the editor as the sole culprit when a film doesn’t land perfectly, as the editing choices are often a necessary compromise to save the narrative based on the footage provided.
